First time here and it is BOMB. I had the daily special summer sausage sandwich. I picked soft rye with lettuce tomato mayo and provolone cheese. It was excellent and for $4 a pretty good value also. Generous portions of fresh meat and cheese. The cookies were soft chewy and delish. Atmosphere is pretty cool as a break from the normal lunch spots. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A great experience.... I will be back.

Great selection of meats and cheese, and some left over bones with marrow for the dog. Staff seemed friendly, the location was clean and well organized. We visited many times and never had a complaint. All meat we tasted was of good quality and the staff were very attentive but respectful.

Absolute A+ on service. I've only been here once, but I felt very welcome when I asked a question. They have a large variety of meats and also have a nice seating area inside. I would certainly recommend this business.

I've been here several times. There deli sandwiches are fantastic. Love the Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Reuben. The pasta salads are good too. Much better than what the you can get at subway and such.

Love their daily lunch specials and the fact that they have their specials advertised on Facebook and their website. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is great, soups are delicious, and you can't go wrong with dollar dogs on most Saturdays. Their meat selection is outstanding - love the wide variety of brat flavors and jerky too.

Ok - here's a Ma & Pa secret location: Go to Bonngards in Cottage Grove for lunch. It's not far from Woodbury and they have great food for lunch that you won't find anywhere else nearby. You can find their daily lunch special on their website: bonngardsfamilymeats.com Every other Thursday they have a delicious bbq rib special. They offer a repeat customer card for discounts - after you eat there 5 times I think you get a free meal. A few items I'm not crazy about, but it's a new menu every day and for the most part you can get a great fresh home-cooked lunch for about $6. I highly recommend it - but don't tell too many other people because if I show up for ribs even one time and they're out I will never post another yelp review again.

I had a bunch of Navy buddies coming in from all over the US for a Labor Day reunion up at my cabin, and The guys decided it would be fun to roast a small pig. I had no idea what I was doing, but eventually came across Bonngard's. They were SO helpful on the phone sourcing the pig for me, returning phone calls, etc. When I arrived to finally pick up the pig, it was sealed in a large plastic bag all prepped for the rotisserie, and they carried it and loaded it in the car. I was SO impressed with the cleanliness and service at this place. I also noticed a bunch of cops there for lunch, along with some other people. I've never thought of going to a butcher to have lunch, but it obviously looks like a popular place. It's on my list of places to go try lunch now!

Bonngard's is a great place to fulfill your backyard barbecue needs. They have a whole counter of meats that are ready to cook of all different flavors and cuts. The prices are fair and they often have coupons in the local mailers. The staff is friendly and will gladly help you find the cut you need. The best food I have purchased here (and the reason I keep going back) are the flavored/seasoned brats. There is a large freezer near the entrance with at least 20 different flavors of brats. Mozzarella & Green Olive, Jalapeño, and Buffalo Chicken just to name some. They are sooooo good, and it is always nice to spice up the norm. (Wisconsin natives who are content cooking their Johnsonville party pack brats in beer for hours need not apply)
